Please help me to check if the sentences are in correct.
Last Monday was sunny. Mary was walking alone to school. A couple of thieves followed her. They stopped the van and approached her. The thief caught her. He tried to dragged Mary into / to the van. She struggled her hand out and started screaming. Mary bit the thief's hand and he was in pain. He let go of Mary. Mary screamed loudly and the thief drove off.
