A homicidal maniac / an homicidal maniac

Which one is correct here?

A) ...when a homicidal maniac is strangling my girlfirend.

B) ...when an homicidal maniac is strangling my girlfirend.

I thinks it's (B), but I've found 146.000 results googling version (A), so now I am a little confused.

If you are a speaker with a dialect that drops initial h's (eg. Cockney), then you would say "an."
B) ...when an 'omicidal maniac is strangling my girlfriend.

If you speak the standard way, the "h" is pronounced, and you say "a".
A) ...when a homicidal maniac is strangling my girlfriend.
