This formulary for pain and symptom management in adults is intended as a guide for prescribers in hospital and community.
I saw the above in Palliative Care formulary (NHS)
Does "a" mean one of many in "as a guide....", there exists more than one guide for prescribers?
Is "guide" a concept or physical thing as it's countable?
