A group of twelve-year-olds

Good morning. What would you call a group of two boys and two girls, aged twelve? They are the characters in a presentation video from an English course book. The guys? The boys and the girls? Thank you.

Top answer

slocawber The guys? No. That excludes the females.

  • slocawber The guys?
  • No.
  • That excludes the females.
  • slocawber The boys and the girls That's possible, but I would prefer "the boys and girls" (since they are one group).
  • Alternatively, try "the group" or "that group".
