This is a very hard way to learn English, for two reasons: the grammar is often terrible (Baby you and me, got a groovy kind of love), and lyrics, like other forms of poetry, often use words in unexpected, unusual ways. They work within the poem, but it's very hard to explain them and to say how something similar is used in "real" conversation.
