A grammar question

Hi,

I'm on the fence about which version is correct.

1. Your computer is not shut down. If you hit this button, it will be

2. Your computer is not shut down. If you hit this button, it will

I'm leaning toward choice #1, something is telling me choice #2 doesn't sound right, but I can't rule it out.

From a native speaker's point of view, which choice sounds natural to the ear?

Thanks !

Now there's one for ya!

Shouldn't it be "confirming"?

I'd be inclined to use "allaying" when the suspicions are proved unwarranted.

True, the suspicions are put to rest, but I don't think a native speaker would use it that way.
