I don't understand the meanig of some words in a context.

Q1: What do you think the words "a graduate degree" mean here? BA or MA ? or anything else ?

Q2: Is the phrase "Middle Level" related to "the length of a dissertation"? Like the number of words/pages?


He received the 2003 National Association of Secondary Schools’ Principals

Middle Level Dissertation of the Year Award.


Q3: Could you explain the part underlined about what that means?
