A good soup?

Dear friends, I have got a question. Are these correct?' I am tasting soup. It is a good soup.' Can I use 'a' with 'soup' and other uncountable nouns?

Ummm....Sorry, I have to disagree. Normal utterance is: This (bowl of) soup is good!, this is good soup. Or This soup is very tasty.

As far as standard English goes, I don't think I've ever heard, nor will I hear an educated native say the above. Soup, like coffee
