A good look for you

Oliver: Imagine my surprise when I stumble upon metropolis' finest going (????) gangland.
Thug's a really good look for you and your crew (?????) ,by the way.
Clark: They're not all bad,oliver.

First sentence seems pretty clear to me. Finests are cops, right? I just don't get the meaning of "going" here.
I don't understand the second sentence at all. Does Oliver mean: You and your crew are thugs, to put it mildly??
But Clark isn't a thug. Why would he call him that?

"Going" here means assuming a certain style. What are you doing for Halloween? (reply) I'm going hippie.
