A gerund or a noun

Hello everyone. I bumped into a problem while constructing a sentence which I want to mean:

"He extorts money, I object it".

I have come up with two different versions:

I object his extortion of money

I object him extorting money

Could you please tell me if there is any difference between the meanings of these sentences? Thanks!

Add 'to' after every 'object' and they all mean the same.

(Your different versions need full stops (periods.)
