A forum letter (for my writing sample)

Nowadays people live in a country which is comprised of citizens from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. Promotion and acceptance of multicultural traditions within a specific jurisdiction form a diverse society. It seems to be wonderful to live in a cosmopolitan world; however, the drawbacks behind this development cannot be ignored.

Singapore, a well-developed nation, is getting filled of a mixture of cultures. Its vibrant community attracts millions of people and put it in the global spotlight. Despite the advantages, multiculturalism still causes several downsides for the government and locals. The foremost disadvantage is the differences in the society. Immigrants bring everything from their hometowns which natives may not fond of. For example, people from third world country are possible to throw garbage away on the streets and lack social manners. Their unpleasant behaviors trouble natives again and again.

Everyone hopes to live in a desirable place and is responsible for building a more livable homeland. But how could the government cooperate with people would be the next challenge we face.
