Please help me to correct them.It was a monson season last month. A strong wind was blowing. There was / were thunders roared and lightning flashed across / in the sky. It kept raining / It had been raining for a week.  Kampung Kepong was flooded. The water reached the waist of the people.The residents kept their belongings in a plastic (bags).  All the residents were evacuated (from) the village to a safe / safer place in a boat. The police and (the) army teams also came to rescue residents and brought them to a relief centre. They distributed some food and water to the victims of flood. The residents stayed there for a week after the flood over.When the flood water / water subsided, the residents went back home and helped to wash (away) the mud in their houses. They cleaned up (all the houses) everywhere. They also felt sad because all the belongings and furniture were destroyed. They suffered a big / great loss.
