Grammar

a final something or the final something

Hi,

I think this topic has been discussed somewhat extensively here but in addition to what could be considered 'normal answers', I want to ask for the linguistic rationale for the uses involved if you can and willing. I think almost everyone knows that there is only one draw to be held for that event.

A final draw will be held soon.

The final draw will be held soon.
