A final assignment... ?

Hello there,

I'm not quite sure if what I've written on/in the title page of my essay is quite right so if you could correct me, I'd be much obliged.

"A Final Assignment Essay in the Course of/in Text Linguistics"

Cheers!

sorry, I've made a mistake
what I've meant was/is/has been (?) a short information about the essay, for whom it is written and in (on?) which course

Hi,
Yes, that sort of thing is often added.

thank you,

still, what bothers is me, is why you wouldn't "a" in front of "Finnal Assignment" ? (though it also feels better to me without "a")

Hi,
In titles and sub-titles, articles are often omitted.

You could say 'a' if you wanted to, but this would suggest that there were other Final Assignments and that this was just one of them. In other words, 'the' would be more suitable.
But I'd omit it.
