over - mighty - That means "too mighty"or "too strong". Adding the prefix over- to a word means "too much"

Staounch proponent - That contains a typo. It should be " proponent"

allies - the plural of http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=2258&dict=CALD

checks on (plural) - What was the http://dictionary.cambridge.org/results.asp?dict=B&searchword=check?

silt - sand or fine soil which is carried along (usually by a river) and then deposited

Semitic - an http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?key=71695&dict=CALD that refers to certain people - often Jews

city bars - This probably refers to bars (pubs) found in a city or cities

graphe paranomon - a type of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphe_paranomon

You probably couldn't find some of these words in your dictionary becaue you have spelling errors. My spelling corrections are in red, so that you can check your dictionary again.

Or are you saying that your dictionary does not include these other words?

checks on (plural) Seems like a verb form. eg She checks on her son.

silt

semitic

city bars Places to drink alcohol in a city.

graph paranomon Are you sure you have spelled this second word right? I don't know it.
