Hi teachers,Would you tell me the meaning of the following words?1.  congressional staffer2.  He has 6000 dues-paying members3.  Oath Keepers do not run around the woods on the weekend shooting weapons or threatening the violent overthrow of the government &gt;&gt; 3a) Does shooting weapons mean firing the machine guns (in Oath keepers' hands), and not aiming at the weapons?&gt;&gt; 3b) "threatening the violent overthrow of the government".  Does that mean Oath keepers do not threaten that they would overthrow of the government violently?Thank youTinanam

1. Congressional staff are employees of the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Congress or of its individual members.

2) People who pay, a specific amount or money, to an oragnization to be a member of.

3) "Oath Keepers" is an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonprofit_organization that advocates that its members (current and former U.S. military and law enforcement) uphold the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution_of_the_United_States should they be ordered to violate it.

Essentially, that statement is dispelling any "myths" that may be held about them.

3a) "Shooting weapons" means firing the weapons; technically, I don't think it means aiming, although it is usually assumed that one would be aiming.

In this exact example, they are talking about "shooting weapons" without aiming. Mindlessly firing in the air, probably.

3b) Since they are defenders of the Constitution first, people view it that they might overthrow the government, if it contradicts the Constitution.
