A few times over (meaning)

I came across this phrase: "I've got all the Rolling Stones albums a few times over".

I don't seem to get the meaning.

Someone was talking about his collection of albums of the band in different configurations.

So if I said "I've watched that film three times over", it would mean three times as well, or is it more related to the notion of having two or more copies of something?
