A few questions about grammar
1.The pedestrians walk out, normally followed by several others, and only realise, when they reach the middle of the road, that a big CMB bus is approaching them at top speed.
Q.1) Why this sentence is correct with the "that" ??? There is a comma in front of it , why this can be correct????
2.What comes as a surprise, however, is the Hong Kong government's complete lacking of political will to deal with the problem.(Lacking should be changed to lack )
Q.2) In this sentence, complete is adjective? "lack of" is noun??
3.I suggest that tourists (should) be warned of these practices when they arrive at the airport.
Q.3) Why "should " can be omitted in thie sentence???
4.And how was it there were other bullet holes in the floor and ceiling of the dead man's room?
Q.4)Can you tell me the structure of this sentence? I 'm not quite understanding the pattern of "How was it there were........."
5.Good lifestyle choices are also important for a peaceful mind,which helps to slow down the age of shen(spirit) in the heart.(age should be changed to ageing)
