A few questions

1.) If you're asking a question, should you say:

"About what?" or "What about?"
-Are they bothe correct

2.) What's the difference between

She always told me to......
She always tells me......

She always said........
She always says....

3.) I imagined him to be short. I didn't know he was that tall.
I imagine him to be short. I didn't know he was that tall.

I imagine him to have fangs and scary eyes, not that.
I imagine him to have fangs and scary eyes, not that.

Which of these are right?
