A few questions:

1) What is the adv of 'addle'? Is 'addlely' right?

2) The sentence: "The shofar (driver) silent and maculate in his perfect black uniform held open the door."

What's the meaning of 'maculate' here? (means 'tan'?)

3) Could I build new words with emphasis by adding 'un-in-' to an adjective?

Someone said: makes un inattractive thing, looking precious! well done!

Thanks!

Hello AVim,

The word for driver is chauffeur. As MH says, he looked immaculate.

Many words take un or in or il, but it's not always clear which word. Unattractive is the word, not inattractive, for example.

A driver is a "chauffeur". A "shofar" is a ram's horn blown on certain Jewish holidays.

Thanks all for the correction of 'chauffeur'.
The 'maculate' might be a misheard. Emotion: embarrassed
