A few corrections

Can I say,

(a) Susan is the thinnest girl among the three girls.

(b) The coconut tree is taller than an / the oil palm tree.

(c) Mei plays badminton better than her sister Min / her sister, Min.

(d) Everyone likes to go to John's house because is / because he is a polite man.

(e) We ate / ate up the apples all by ourselves.(do we need to put "all by"?)

(f) They tended the garden / took care of the garden all by themselves.
