A few corrections

Can I say,

(a) Peter was an athlete. He practised hard with his freinds after school. He hoped he could / can win a prize during / in the school Sports Day.

(b) After a few hours, they reached the campsote. They were divided into three groups. A grup set up the tent and another group were looking for firewood. After that, they cooked the food that they were ready before the camp.


(c) The scouts set the tents first. After a few minutes, food was ready to be eaten.

(d) After dinner, they sang and dance around the campfire until 1 o'clock in the morning / at midnight. They were exhausted but enjoyed the campfire.

(e) The Malaysians / The Malaysian like to eat durians.

(f) He was being ready for the Sports Day next week.

(g) He took part in the 100-metre race. He began to run like lightning when the coach blew his whistle. Finally he won the prize on the Sports Day.
