Can I say,

(a) There were many vehicles on the road.
(b) They ate a slice of bread for breakfast.
(c) He is watering the flowers.
(d) He drinks a glass of milk before he sleeps.
(e) There were many biskuits in the kitchen.
(f) There are many books in / on the shelf.
(g) They slept in the field yesterday.
(h) The cat has six long whiskers.
