A few corrections

Can I say,

(i) John and Peter are the best of friends. John likes to live with Peter. They always help each other. Their hobby is / are jogging and cycling.

(ii) John's bicycle was punctured.

No. Say it this way.

ii) John's bicycle tyre was punctured.

ii) John's bicycle had a puncture.

In N. America, we spell 'tyre' as 'tire', and we don't use the word 'puncture'. Instead, we say

His bike had a flat tire.

His bike had a flat.
