A few corrections

Which one is correct?

(a) She was careless and / so she fell down the stairs. (both correct?)

(b) While / As washing the plates, She dropped one. (I don't know how to differentiate them, I think both correct.)

(c) The garden is overgrown with weeds. John decided to pull / pull out the weeds. (both correct?)

(d) The pupils line up at the field. They are having morning assembly. A prefect is raising a flag. The pupils are standing at / for attention and singing the national anthem. (at)

(e) Jun called you just now while you were going out for tuition class / while you were in tuition class.
