a drugstore and a pharmacy

A drugstore ? a place where they sell not only over-the-counter drugs
but also daily necessities such as toilet paper, kleenex
and cosmetics, etc.

A pharmacy ? a place where people go with prescriptions from
doctors.

Is my understanding correct? Or do you use those terms almost in the same way?
