A down payment on a Lincoln Town Car

Hi,

Help required with the following.

Quite a complicated phrase here:

"Don't you talk to me about murder.
All it ever took was a down payment
on a Lincoln Town Car."

First, would you please explain the general meaning of this phrase?

Second, what is a Lincoln Town Car? (Don't want to seem dumb, but unfortunately I don't know).

Thanks.
