A dewdrop at dawn

I'm a dewdrop at dawn,
awake to the morning sunshine,
caressing my face, and
interrupting my sweet dream.

When a ladybug is scurrying
for shade under a big tree
I'm an idle cloud
wandering in the blue sky
just to catch a glimpse of
a smiling yellow buttercup
in a green pasture.

When the evening falls around
like purple and orange flower petals,
I'd like to sing a sad old song
for a weather-worn traveller.

When night diamonds start twinkling,
I'm a shooting star
flying across the starry night sky.

Hi,

The above scribbling is what I wrote a few days ago to practice writing. Feel free to give me feedback and advice. Thanks.
