A dashing effect

Personally, which do you like below? It appears as though (1) may be easier on the orbs.

(1) Hi, Tom – and welcome to our organization. (spaced n-dash used)

(2) Hi, Tom—and welcome to our organization. (unspaced m-dash used)

Thanks,

Mike
