If you could help me "decipher" this idiom?
Can it be interpreted as "(may someone as wise as) Daniel come (and give us the right) judgment of ..."?
Looks like "come" is an imperative here?

I had never heard of this as an expression. In Shakespeare, it is ironic and means "Here is a person who is as wise as the biblical Daniel who has come to pass judgment." "Come" is not imperative. It is adjectival.
