A cultural question

Isn't it embarrassing for the people men esp in the Europe and in the United States to see the picture of women on websites(e.g. on yahoo!) wearing bikinis or they just pretend it to be a natural/casual thing? What's it like?
Thanks for your guidance and apologies for being silly in advance. Emotion: stick out tongue
I am a boy of 23 years old from a middle east country, and in here, It is quiet embarrassing even if you're sitting beside a male friend of yours! (these things are considered as vices in the first place, and at most, utterly for our solitude, and are not supposed to be seen while we are together.)
In the case you wonder about the root of my question, I should say, Yahoo! has a great amount of useful well-written English articles and I am constraint to checking its first page from time to time, but, it's always full of that kind of contents. I can't give no sign anymore when sometimes people around me turn eyes red cheeks from my screen! So I have a genuinely fundamental curious about the whole issue there in the west. for example if you are a father and your child is passing and looks at the screen of your laptop for a while. and any of the other same hypothetical situations.

I guess I am older than Dave because I am pretty indifferent to page 3. My generation tend to be libertarian and less religious than our forefathers, but also compared with the younger generation, perhaps because they are more influenced by women's concerns and the influence of foreign cultures. Most European countries have a very relaxed attitude to *** and nudity, UK and USA slightly less so.

Hi

OK, I understand that. My view would be that a libertarian society only works if each person is shown respect. I don't think 'page 3' is consistent with equal respect to both men and women

I have no problem with *** and nudity as such. But if I'm on a train and the person next to me has a newspaper that shows female nudity alongside what is supposed to be mainstream news, t

Yeah Dave, I feel like that too, I think it is always more of a chimera that justice could be ever achieved in the sort of stuff. Thanks for your replies guys. Dave-anon and Vic Z.
