A Covid vaccine vs Covid vaccine

Dear all,

Please see the sentence "Who will be the first to get a Covid 19 vaccine?". I'd like to know whether this sentence is OK without the article "a".

Almost certainly you mean this: Who will be the first to get a Covid - 19 vaccination ? "Covid-19" should be hyphenated. Some people also put it in all capitals, "COVID-19".

  • "Covid-19" should be hyphenated.
  • Some people also put it in all capitals, "COVID-19".
  • The all-caps form is mandated by some style guides, and seems to be preferred in academic or scientific contexts.
  • The British media, as far as I have noticed, seems to generally write it "Covid-19".
