Is this OK: I’ve been on a coke and caffeine trip for the past week and I’m writing this to warn y’all to never mix the two substances or you’ll start to trip freak out like a lunatic and trying to sleep will be futile.

I think you meant to have 'and' in there. I'd have written 'never to mix' — not 'to never mix', but what you have passes for correct in most language communities.
