a couple of questions

just some simple questions
A group of English investors formed the London Company to seek profit in the New Land.
(would new land be captalized?)

The settlers were determined however, to survive.
(are there any more additional commas that need to be added?)

Many were indentured servants for whom there was no going back. They had sold their labor, in exchange for free passage to the new land. Five years after the founding, the London Company gave each colonist a parcel of land.
(are there any more mistakes? Should whom be used, or who?)
thanks for the help
