A couple of questions

1) This is confirmed by Sextus’ discussion of the Skeptical telos, at the end of which he remarks that ‘some among the eminent Skeptics have added to them [i.e. ataraxia and metriopatheia] also suspension of judgment in the investigations’ (PH i 30). These Skeptics must be Timon and Aenesidemus, since Diogenes Laertius tells us that, according to them, the Skeptic’s end ‘is suspension of judgment, which unperturbedness follows as a shadow’ (ix 107).

2) Annas thinks that, in the passages of AD v referred to, Sextus is possibly confusing moral realism with moral absolutism, and skepticism with relativism. Bett, for his part, argues that Sextus’ stance in AD v cannot be taken as a form of realism according to the latter’s own conception of reality, but he does maintain that Sextus asserts that things are good or bad in relation to specific persons and situations.

Ok?

Sorry, Clive. Now I've edited my previous post. I was trying to make it clear (Sextus writing about Sextus sounds schizofrenic), but it turned out to be more confusing.
