A consonant and a vowel can be pronounced at the same time

When we pronounce words like kiss[k?s], key [ki:], do you pronounce [k] [?] [s] and [k] [i:] respectively or also in English, a consonant and a vowel can be pronounced at the same time like [k?] [s] and [ki:] or they are pronounced one by one and move so quickly?

What do you native English speakers think? I hope that my question is clear. Thank you so much in advance.

I think that without a vowel, a consonant would have no sound The breath needs to move to sound the consonant, and that breath is the vowel. Therefore, the act of making a consonant, is also the act of making a vowel, so they are not separate. Just my thoughts d

"k", "i" and "ss" require different positions of the speech-making apparatus, so I don't see how they could be pronounced at the same time. The sounds must be formed one after another.
