A conditional sentence question

0I was working on a TOEIC question like the one below:02br
02br
00This dish 01i00___02i00 better if you use fresh herbs and garlic.02br
02br
00a) will be tasting02br
00b) tastes02br
00c) would have tasted02br
00d) tasted02br
02br
00The answer is b. However, I tried to find answer like "will taste". I learn form school that in a condition sentence, if the sentence refers to "now", the main clause should be placed a verb with future tense. Is it true?02br

00Your sentence is ambiguous – if it's a comment about a particular meal, which someone is preparing now, "will taste" is the better choice.02br
02br
00However, if it's a general comment about a particular dish, "tastes" is fine.02br

0Hello Goodman02br

00I'd agree that it's a declarative sentence; though even so, it seems to me that the if-clause presents a condition, and the main clause presents what happens when that condition is met. 02br
02br
00Does it seem too "real" to you, to be "conditional" – insufficiently hypothetical?02br

0Hi MrP,02br

00No arguements there! From my ealry learning days, my teachers always emphasized context and context for they said an English question can only be asked relative to the context in which it came from and answered respectively. Relative to "if" arguement, I think you may be right. 0-
