A COMPETITIVE post

"The post they are offering is highly COMPETITIVE and many people will try to get it."

Is this correct? If so, could you provide any synonyms or paraphrases for 'competitive' in this context?

Top answer

Hi Demi, It is not the post which is competetive, but the people who compete for it. It may be better to describe the post as "highly desirable" or 'very attractive' ***"The post offered is highly desirable, and there will be great competition for it"

Hi demicjusz,

Do you mean to say that the salary is highly competitive?

The sentence is not mine, so to speak, so I don't really know the situation. I suppose the salary may, but does not have to, be competitive.
