A closing time?

Hi guys,

When you say "Its purpose is to announce a closing time of a gallery", is it right expression, esp. the part "a closing time"?

Shouldn't it be just "closing time" without the article?

Any comments would be thankful.

It's not wrong, but it sounds awkward. Normally we assume that each gallery has one closing time, so we'd more often use Its purpose is to announce the closing time of a gallery.
