A Clean-up Day

Please help me to correct them, thanks.

Last Monday morning, there was a Clean-up day held in St. Theresa School. All pupils were divided into a few groups. We all brought all the cleaning equipments like damp cloths, pails, sickles, brooms and so on. The headmaster gave us a short briefing before having / starting a spring cleaning. We all listened attentively.

After ten minutes, we followed the instructions of teachers to do cleaning / the work. Pupils in Group A swept the floors and mopped the classrooms thoroughly. Some wipe the window panes and cleaned the blackboards respectively. They cooperated with each other / among themselves and managed to fulfill their tasks.

The pupils of Group B cleaned the drains the clogged drains and cut the tall grass. Some pupils from Group C arranged the flower pots along the corridors while some / others painted the school gate.

All of us worked happily and even forgot the tiredness. Although we all felt exhausted, we were enjoybale. After a few hours, our school looked / seemed clean and tidy. It's our pride of caring our school. Our hard work (had) paid off.
