A checklist of do´s & don´ts in teaching vocabulary, help required

Hi there,
I a new teacher to the TEFL world I was wondering if anyone here has checklist of do's and don'ts that a teacher should observe in the teaching of vocabulary.

Hello Derek-- and welcome to EnglishForward. I know of no neat list (though no doubt someone has tried to make such), but a good book to start with is Michael Lewis's Implementing the Lexical Approach . It has current theory and also a lot of practical class activities.
