Grammar

A causative verb

1. Have you ever had anything stolen from you?

2. Have you ever been anything stolen from you?

- Is number 2 acceptable?

- If so meaning of 1 and 2 is almost the same?

- What's the difference?

3. Have you ever had a burglar break into your house?

The context of the sentence makes me think the verb "had" is not a causative verb? (eg. I had my son wash my car.)

- If "had" is a causative verb, I'd be very confused.
