a careless friend

My this friend is really a careless one. He once borrowed some books from me and didn’t return them for months. “Urm, never throw meat dumplings at a dog ---- as a Chinese saying goes?” I troubled a lot in deciding if I should give him a ring to remind him of my books. To avoid being embarrassing on both sides, I racked my brain a long time and with a tactful idea, I got them back at last. No sooner had I regarded it the end of this accident than my this friend cracked his voice via telephone urgently: ”Hi, dude, have you finished reading my books? I really need them and can’t wait any longer!”
