A call - OK?

Hi,

Let's say someone asks me to do a task. I say:

"Soon as I get off a call".

Is "a call" OK? Yes, I know I can be on only one call. But let's say the person is outside of my house and so he doesn't know I am on the phone. Is that OK?

However if he looks at me and sees I am on the phone, I will say "the call".
