(a) When John wanted to take his bicycle home, he saw that hs bicycle's tyre / his bicycle was punctured. (without mention "the bicycle's tyre", can be accepted?)

(b) They were going back home. Suddenly, John took no notice / did not notice at the road. There was a broken glass. He went over and his bicycle was punctured.
