Hello,

Can you think of the word that would describe a boring female person. Somebody who is unimaginative, withouth any special features that one could like, kind of a woman without a personality.

Hello Nona nad others,

I am translating a column, also as a part of my diplomma paper. And in this column, a female author crticizes cheating husbands and somewhere in the texts she referrs to their wives as ''?'', she calls them like that (not meaning that she thinks they are boring, but the way their husbands see them). The author in question has chosen (if I literally translate it) a g

"colorless" is a similar idea to "grey" and does mean dull. That may be your best choice, to stay true to the translation?

Gray wouldn't be bad, IMO.

If you want to keep the idea of colour, you could use colourless, but i think 'dull' would be the best for the meaning you now have given.

How about "lackluster" or "monochrome"? These are quite unusual adjectives for people, but could convey that idea of colourlessness...
