Is this sentence correct?


"Just the fact that she was born there might have created in her a bond with the country, even if she came at a relatively young age."

The grammar is good, but the meaning in the last clause is obscure. As a whole the sentence says (to me) that she was both born in that country and that she did not arrive in that country until later, but still young. CJ

As a whole the sentence says (to me) that she was both born in that country and that she did not arrive in that country until later, but still young.

I've got to admit that the sentence is incoherent for me. I'm not sure whether there is a logical connection between the even if-clause and the main clause.
