a birthday message

Hello, everyone,
Does the message below sound natural enough? Here it comes:
"Dear ex girlfriend ,
One of my neighbors said the 28th was a horrible day and I had to agree wholeheartedly. You were born on this horrible day many, many years ago. I am still young and handsome, but things will be different for you from now on. I am sure that turning.... will bring you a lot of wonderful things: lots of wrinkles, weight, slower metabolism, etc (just to name a few). How cool is that?! You have every reason to celebrate, old one. Bottoms up!

P.S. I saw a really weird looking monkey in town yesterday. It reminded me of how beautiful you were. I still remember the first time I saw you. You looked so much...younger/better (we'll see).

Thank you ladies and gents. I might change it a little and spice it up a bit. I really poured my heart into it and I hope you like it.

Thanks.

Thank you, Clive. Trust me, I know what kind of creature I am dealing with. And I've been dealing with wild beasts for a few years now.
