A better English word.

Hi,

I South African and am living in Norway. I am looking for a word that would be commonly used in a sentence like this:

"It is important to nuance a point of view before you publish it". The word 'nuance' I guess could be replaced with 'refine'. Is that the most appropriate word?

Do you have any other suggestions?

The equivalent of this word is often used in Norwegian and I am looking for a good english word to use in this way. At the moment I use the Norwegian word in my English sentences, which is something I prefer not to do.

Thank you for your help,

Helen

You have several choices for what you can do to a point of view before you publish it, but 'refine' probably is best.

refine, perfect, polish, develop, elaborate, revise, improve
