Essay:
This happened a few years ago. My husband, Hossein, and I live in Bandar-Abbas which is the capital of Hormozgan province on the southern coast of Iran. One of our friends, sima, traveled to Bandar-Abbas and stayed with us for some days. Sima had a trip to Darak, in Sistan and Baluchistan, and talked about friendly people, different cultures, and especially its nature. I heard a lot about Sistan and Baluchistan which is one of the eastern provinces of Iran. Hossein and I liked to see these regions and also knew their people and cultures. we were going to drive first to Darak to stay for one day and then drive from Darak to Chabahar. We selected Darak as the first step in our journey. Because it is a unique beach where the sea meets the desert and it is famous for an amazing sunset. We liked to see its sunset.
The first part of the journey was exciting. We set off at 5:00 in the morning to arrive soon at Darak. We were happy and talked about other adventure journeys. Two hours later, we were hungry when we arrived in Minab. Luckily, we saw a small restaurant, so we stopped. Hossein suggested us a local breakfast with eggs and cheese, named 'Mahyaveh'. Sima and I accepted to have it. while sitting in the restaurant, we heard the traditional song of an unknown singer. we enjoyed every minute there. Mahyaveh was delicious and we were full of energy. we were using the "Balad" app for the first time and put in the name of the small village, Kashi in it- Kashi is the village between Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchistan. We started off by following the instructions. The problem started to happen when we were going in the wrong direction. I searched on other apps and realized that instead of driving on the new road, we were going on the old one. This road was too quiet and we saw no one. Sima and I were scared but Hossein was calm. Everything was not getting better. We forgot to buy water and we were thirsty. It took 4 hours to reach a small village. We talked with local people and they helped us to go in the right way. We had wasted nearly two hours going in the wrong way.
We arrived at the homestay in Darak where we booked before, it was too late. we lost the beautiful sunset. However, we saw a wonderful sunrise with new friends in homestay. Therefore, we went to Chabahar which was our final destination and had a great time there. Although our journey had many problems with getting lost, In the end, everything was fine.
